ferro.lyte – intuitive OES
As precise as a laboratory device – as mobile as a handheld
ferro.lyte® is a mobile spark spectrometer for flexible, safe and reliable on-site analysis of metal alloys. It works on the principle of optical emission spectrometry (OES) with spark excitation and is optimized for use in the fields of metal production and metal processing.
In contrary to conventional handheld devices, ferro.lyte enables the precise analysis of alloy components with a low atomic number as well as the exact measurement of light trace elements (such as C, N, S, P or B) in the sub-promille range within a few seconds. This is important, for example, for determining the suitability for welding, batch allocation or the nitrogen content in duplex. The device impresses with its revolutionary all-in-one concept, which is designed for maximum user-friendliness and flexibility. It minimizes mechanical stress and ensures maximum availability. The inert gas holder, supply cable and test probe are integrated into the portable analysis unit.
Advantages of the ferro.lyte
- Mobile metal analysis & identification (PMI) on site
The ferro.lyte is designed for continuous cordless use. The extremely lightweight, compact device can be carried effortlessly with one hand or a shoulder strap. Bridges, winding warehouses, stairs, uneven floors and various measuring locations are no longer obstacles. With the ferro.lyte, the measuring process is controlled directly via the test probe and the result is shown directly on the probe's display. There is no need to go to the base unit. - Lower inert gas consumption
Optimized shielding gas distribution in the plasma chamber stabilizes the spark and reduces the argon consumption per measurement. This means that more measurements can be carried out with a single gas cylinder. - Low detection limits
This accuracy was previously reserved for laboratory devices. ferro.lyte enables the exact measurement of light trace elements (such as C, N, S, P or B) in the sub-per mille range as well as the exact determination of alloy proportions. The measurement is carried out in a pure inert gas atmosphere of argon. In addition, the ferro.lyte is the first mobile OES to use an extended spectral line range for analysis. The patented CONLYTE® technology detects additional wavelengths of light elements in the ultraviolet spectrum and thus achieves higher accuracy through lower detection and quantification limits. - Simple, intuitive user interface simplifies processes
Even inexperienced users can carry out analyses with precise, reliable measurement results after a short briefing. The device software is optimized for touch control. It enables fast navigation and convenient handling. Predefined workflows guide the user step by step through the measurement process. This shortens the training period and minimizes the risk of incorrect measurements. - Smart reporting at the touch of a button
The measurement results are permanently stored in a clear internal database. They can be output in various formats (Excel, PDF). Data is transferred via USB, WiFi, LAN or Bluetooth, by email or via a cloud. This enables convenient data transfer and data access almost in real time.
