Like the XL3air, the XL3 hybrid can be used under air.

Optionally, it can also operate with helium.

  • Performance can be further improved by activating the helium flush.
  • Possibility to achieve limits which until now were typically associated with optical emission spectrometers.
  • Helium gas displaces the air in the detector.
  • There is hardly any pressure on the window film – contrary to vacuum.

Areas of application

The XL3 hybrid analyser achieves with helium flush the lowest detection limits for Mg, Al, Si, P, S. It is the perfect instrument for very low tolerance levels or detection limits, which require an improved accuracy, e.g.:

  • Distinction between pure aluminium and Al Mg
  • Phosphorus in bronze
